iSAIAH'S PLACE HoNOR GARDENS
Isaiah's Place is landscaping the grounds to showcase individuals and families, groups, communities, and churches. The are several different flower bed areas we will work with for this first phase. The business office beds will showcase Russell and Louise Allmon. They were active deaf from Guthrie OK in the 1950's - 1980's. The Allmons are the aunt and uncle of the Fredericksons, founders and board members of Isaiah's Place. The area chosen for them will be in the bed in front of the business office near the wisteria. Plans are in the works for the business office to have the Deaf History Center housed there as well. Isaiah's Place will begin to honor all of the deaf and families that have been a part of Isaiah's Place since 2002.
Ceramic Custom Name Tiles
The ceramic tile on the right is an example of the tiles we are going to place in the gardens to identify each individual. If the individuals are from the deaf community, the tile will have the "I LOVE YOU" imprint on the tile. These individuals will also have their stories displayed n the Deaf History Center.
The glass blocks will be used extensively throughout the gardens as well. The scripture verses used on these blocks will be from the book of Isaiah.
